    over the rainbow

     
    somewhere over the rainbow
    way up high
    there's a land that i heard of
    once in a lullaby
    somewhere over the rainbow
    skies are blue
    and the dreams that you dare to dream
    really do come true
    someday i wish upon a star
    and wake up where the clouds are far behind me
    where troubles smelled like lemon drops
    way above the chimney tops
    that's where you'll find me
    somewhere over the rainbow
    blue birds fly
    birds fly over the rainbow
    why then, why can't i?

    if happy little blue birds fly beyond the rainbow
    why, why can't i ?
